Added by Grizabella45During its third season's hiatus, ABC Family announced on January 10, 2011, that the show would be renewed for a fourth season. The fourth season premiered on June 13, 2011, one week after the season 3 finale.

| Ben wakes up hung-over and decides to move out of his apartment with Adrian. Adrian surprises everyone and returns to school and, to Ben's dismay, acts like nothing is wrong. A nervous Rachel leaves Tom alone with the children while she goes on a business trip. It turns out Tom isn't as excited about being a parent as he thought he would be. Adrian learns from Katelyn (the guidance counselor) if she continues with summer school she'll graduate in time for college in the fall. Adrian lies to Amy and everyone else at school and pretends that she and Ben are happy. Ricky has an interview at a local college, but the interview goes horribly wrong when the interviewer (Karlee Carmichael) hits on him. The situation gets worse when a scorned Karlee tells Katelyn that Ricky won't be getting into school there because he tried to pressure her into sex. Reverend Stone lets slip to Kathleen that Grace's new boyfriend, Daniel, is in college. Daniel stops by to meet Kathleen; she actually takes a liking to him and they end up playing a prank on Grace. Grace tries to sneak out of the house to meet Daniel but ends up in his car alone while Daniel's inside eating dinner with Kathleen. Adrian begs Ben to be civil and at least hold hands with her at school. Ben decides to move back in with Adrian just as friends and he tells her he'll live in the nursery. Adrian couldn't be happier. | ||||||

| Amy wants to help Ricky with his problems with Karlee. He protests and is upset that she went to the school counselor to discuss this problem. Amy finds Karlee at the university campus and keenly speaks with her. Later on, Amy calls Toby and asks him about Karlee. He said that his stepsister has problems with promiscuity. Grace tries to subtly warn Ben not to sleep with Adrian without telling Ben about Adrian's plan to get pregnant again. Nora and Ben go to restaurant, but they find Ollie and Ruben together. Ollie wants Nora back, but Nora can’t resume their relationship. Ruben asks Ben if he would really leave Adrian after what they've been through. The waiter at the restaurant mixed up orders and gave Nora and Ben a bottle of wine. Nora gets drunk after two years of abstinence from alcohol. With Amy's help, the guidance counselor Katelyn talks to the admissions office and discovers that Karlee has other complaints against her. Karlee is terminated and Ricky is accepted to the college. | ||||||

The seniors prepare for graduation, while Adrian confronts Grace with shocking news: Dante kissed her and she loved it, but she needs to kiss Ricky one more time just to make sure that she's over him. | ||||||

Everyone prepares for graduation, and Ricky is valadictorian, and makes a speech, where he ends with proposing to Amy. Adrian tries to interviene, but Jack makes sure that she doesn't. Things come to a head at the senior party at Jesse's parent's cabin. Adrian and Ricky share a last kiss, and Adrian realizes that she doesn't love him anymore. Dante claims that what Adrian did was disrespectful, and that he can't be in a relationship with her. Meanwhile, Ben meets a girl named Dylan, and they end up spending the night together, but they don't have sex. Speaking of sex, Lauren wakes up to find Jesse not sleeping next to her, and goes to talk to Jesse and explain that she's still not ready for sex, whereupon we discover that Madison has slept with Jesse. Ricky and Amy agree to take Lauren home, while Jesse tries to make it seem like Madison seduced him. Alice goes to find Henry, and discovers that Henry and Adrian have spent the night together and had sex. On top of all that, Daniel's ex-girlfriend, Raven, is at the party, and she and Jack spend the night together. Daniel and Dante leave the party, and Jack and Grace end up sharing a kiss. While Lauren waits in Ricky's car, Amy and Ricky talk to each other about how the party, and the night were strange. It ends with Ricky saying that their lives are strange, and the last thing we see is Jack and Grace kissing, along with Amy and Ricky seeing, overlooking the lake.

Ben talks to Dylan almost all of Saturday afternoon and they really seem to be getting along. Amy and Ricky are very happy, but Amy says that the main thing she wanted was the ring and that she's in no hurry to get married. Grace tells Jack that their kiss was a mistake, but Jack gets Grace to say that she wants him to kiss her again. Adrian is worried because Dante won't talk to her because of her kissing Ricky at the party. Daniel confronts Grace about a picture that his ex-girlfriend, Raven, sent him. The picture was of Grace and Jack kissing. Daniel says that he can't trust Grace again; Grace tries to get Daniel to see that Raven is only trying to get Daniel to come back to her, but Daniel says that he's not going to date either of them. Ashley returns home from Florida, and announces that she and her boyfriend, Toby, got into college. Amy says that the only college she could get into in Florida is clown college, and even says that their dad rented out her room to Nora, Ricky's mother. Amy tells Margaret, Ricky's foster mother that she wants to attend summer school, and Margaret thinks that Amy's descision is a good one.
