"Caught in a Trap" is a The Secret Life of the American Teenager episode from season five.
Synopsis[]
Omar comes back to Adrian's condo, whereupon Adrian demands his key back. He hands it over, and then asks her about his things. Adrian reminds him that she packed for him, and he tells her that he remembered. He moves to go get his things, but Adrian tells him she'll be the one to get them. She returns to the front room, with two trash bags, containing what Omar says are his suits. He tells her that there is no doubt in his mind that breaking their engagement was the right thing to do. Adrian spitefully replies that he'll be sorry that he broke up with her. Omar quietly wishes her all the best, and takes his things and leaves. Adrian begins to cry as the door shuts, and she goes to her phone to text someone.
Meanwhile, Ethan comes over to Amy and Ricky's apartment to watch John. Ricky asks if Layla will be coming over, and when Ethan says no, Ricky demands to know if he was planning on having sex with her with John in the next room. Amy overhears this, and demands to know what's going on. There is a knock at the door, and Ricky opens it, revealing Layla, who says she's there to help babysit. Ricky tells her she isn't, and Amy explains that she's not comfortable with her being there. Ethan says that everything, including John, will be fine. Amy replies that John doesn't know Layla, that he knows Kathy, and that she trusted Ethan, but obviously not anymore.
Elsewhere, Amy and Grace discuss Adrian ratting them out to Ricky and Jack respectively. Grace admits that she's begun making out China patterns, and Amy chastises her. Amy asks when they're getting married, and Grace says she'll never marry Jack. Amy says that she is looking forward to college, and to her semi-freedom, with the exception of weekends and holidays and the times she will return home. She also says that she is tired of being a mother. Then, Grace notices Ben staring, and asks Amy what he's staring at. Amy said, a bit triumphantly, that Ben is staring at her, and has been since the first day of school.
Finally, Chloe gets Mickey, her former pimp, into prison.
