Synopsis[]

Amy's in the kitchen with baby John, making soup for dinner, when Anne walks in carrying a suspicious brown paper bag. Amy confronts Anne about the bag and her recent weight gain, and Anne reveals she's bought an early pregnancy test. But could Anne really be pregnant at her age?

She sure could. And is. And, though Anne's not thrilled about telling anyone right now, George already knows she's got a bun in the oven ... it's kind of obvious just looking at her. And as her husband, he's seen her preggers before. But even better: He claims it can't be HIS baby, because he's had a vasectomy. So that means the baby is ... David's? Tough luck for a new boyfriend-girlfriend couple, huh?

Meanwhile, Ben, Henry, and Alice are over at Ben's discussing his dad's new love interest. Here's what we know about her: Ben doesn't think she's exactly stepmother material, and she has HUGE breasts. Speaking of breasts, Henry brings up the fact that Amy's have increased a bit since she's started nursing, and that she's now the talk of the whole school. This makes Ben incredibly jealous, especially because the two haven't had sex yet ... and that's all he can think about.

At least things are going a little better for Dad Boykewich. Leo's on a hot date with his new woman, but, uh-oh, what's this? Is she none other than Betty, aka the "friend" Tom once paid to keep him company? Afraid so, folks. But she's told Leo she's a court reporter. We smell trouble ... .

Over at the Lee household, Adrian's trying to study for a test, but she can't concentrate because her mom and Ruben have taken over the apartment with all their lovey-dovey talk. Even worse, Ricky can't make his late-night visit. But, just as Adrian's telling Ricky it might not happen tonight, Grace calls to say that tonight IS the night for her and Jack. OMG!

But instead of congratulating Grace, Adrian tells her not to do it. Grace gets upset and hangs up, determined to have things her way. Adrian rushes over to the Bowman house, where Grace and Jack are ready to get it on, and ruins the mood by warning Grace that she's not ready. That's when Grace says she's sure that, once she and Jack have sex, he won't need to have sex with anyone else. So is Grace really ready, or is this all just one big competition?

Back in baby land, Amy still can't get John to stop crying. Luckily, it's Ricky to the rescue. Dad not only seems to have the magic touch with John, he's also brought real food (steaks!) for Amy and Anne. That Ricky: He sure knows how to win over the ladies.

Ashley and George are out on a little father-daughter date. But when they see Leo with Betty, Ashley's convinced that Betty's a prostitute (smart girl!). Then David, Anne's boyfriend, walks into the same restaurant, which prompts George to go make small talk ... if you can call revealing Anne's pregnancy "small talk." David gets a little freaked out and starts drinking heavily, then drunk-dials Anne to confront her.

And Anne's not the only one getting confronted. When Ben goes over to bid Amy goodnight, he says he can't wait any longer to have sex. Amy's furious, considering she's just had a baby. Doesn't help that Ricky's over all the time, taking care of the baby in Amy's room. Ricky interrupts this chat, and the boys bicker before they leave a frustrated Amy behind, with a crying John to look after.

Meanwhile, Kathleen and Tom are on their way back from dropping Marshall off at a private airport. Tom tells his mom that Grace is going to lose her virginity to Jack, which prompts Kathleen to call home. She urges Grace to call her father, since the two had a fight just before he left about whether she's ready to have sex. Grace refuses and says she wants to make the decision herself. And, considering that a shirtless Jack is sitting on her bed during this conversation, we guess she's already made up her mind.

Back at the Lee household, Ricky stops by to see Adrian, only to come face-to-face with Ruben. Naturally, this dampens the mood. But before Ricky leaves, he goes off on Ruben about all his mistakes, especially abandoning Adrian and hurting Cindy. A stunned Ruben is left to think about Ricky's words ... and wonder how right he might be.

So Ricky and Adrian don't get to do the deed, but Grace and Jack, of all couples, do. And Grace loves it. But she doesn't have much time to bask in the glow because, just as Jack's about to head out, Kathleen and Tom come home with terrible news: Marshall has died in a plane crash. The incident rocks the whole community, but nobody's taking it harder than Grace. How will the Bowmans survive this tragedy?
