Dave is the former stepfather of Lauren and Jason and was their mother's second husband after she and Dr. Ken Fields split up. He is portrayed by Raphael Sbarge.

While their kids are still relatively young, Ken and Mrs. Treacy's marriage breaks down so the two get divorced. Soon after, Mrs. Treacy meets Dave and they get married.
When George Juergens meets Ken at the school for the first time, the latter introduces himself as Lauren's father but George comments that he's already met Lauren's father before, to which Ken clarifies that he is the biological father of both Lauren and Jason and explains that the person he met was Dave.
He tries to fit into his new family but the kids, Lauren in particular, don't really enjoy his company and often avoid talking to him but ever since Jason found an interest in studying medicine, he has been sucking up to him quite a bit. When Ken finds out that Lauren lied about the sleepover she and Madison had planned, Dave tries helping Ken out with dealing with Lauren, however, Ken finds his eagerness to help patronising and annoying.
In Another Proposal, Ken announces to Lauren and Jason that he and her mother are splitting up, which to their surprise. He mentions the fact that he and Mrs. Treacy had been having some problems and instead of going to therapy, he thought that splitting up would be the best solution as he feels that surgically removing the problem, in this case it would be himself, from the situation as opposed to trying psychotherapy, adding that it wasn't a dig at their father's profession. He also reveals that it had been in the works for 6 months. Before he leaves, he says that even though he won't be around, he hopes that they could still all stay in touch and maybe hang out some time and then hands both Jason and Lauren a check for a sizeable amount of money each, something that Jason believes Dave may have done in order to annoy Ken. He then jokingly adds that although he may not have children of his own, he does have a lot of money, and then leaves.
